Cost Of Living In Russia, Poland and Austria

If you are planning to study abroad, it is important that you consider the cost of living in the country you wish to pursue your studies. Cost of living varies from country to country, for example, in countries like the UK, US , Australia and Canada, cost of living is usually high and to study in those countries you really need a big budget. On the other hand, there are countries where cost of living is usually very low and affordable for students and in today’s article we shall be discussing 3 of these countries. They are located in Europe; Russia, Poland and Austria.

Russia

Russia as we all know is the world’s largest nation and borders European and Asian countries as well as the Pacific and Arctic oceans. Its landscape ranges from tundra and forests to subtropical beaches. It’s famous for Moscow’s Bolshoi and St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky ballet companies. St. Petersburg, founded by Russian leader Peter the Great, has the baroque Winter Palace, now housing part of the State Hermitage Museum’s art collection.

Cost of living in Russia for students

Russia is a very affordable country for students. The cost of living in Russia is very low compared to other European countries. For expenses like feeding, accommodation, transportation, buying of books, recreation etc, students should budget about $300 to $400 per month.

Poland

Poland usually referred to as the the Republic of Poland, is a country located in Central Europe. It is divided into 16 administrative subdivisions, covering an area of 312,696 square kilometers, and has a largely temperate seasonal climate.

Cost of living in Poland for students

The cost of living in Poland is equally low. It is estimated at 200 to 400 Euros per month. This amount will cover expenses like feeding, accommodation, transportation, buying books and recreation.

Austria

Austria is a German-speaking country in Central part of Europe; it is characterized by mountain villages, baroque architecture, Imperial history and rugged Alpine terrain. The city of Vienna, its Danube River capital, is home to the Schönbrunn and Hofburg palaces. It has counted Mozart, Strauss and Freud among its residents. The country’s other notable regions include the northern Bohemian Forest, Traunsee Lake and eastern hillside vineyards.

 

Cost of living in Austria for students

The cost of living in Austria is a bit high compared to the two countries we have discussed earlier on. The reason is that accommodation is Austria is usually expensive. Students need to budget about 250 Euro for  single room. Then for the general cost of living in Austria, a budget of 400 to 500 Euro per month is enough to take care of expenses like accommodation, feeding, transportation , recreation etc.
